Pratt Community College closed their 2025-2026 season Saturday with a 58 to 42 road loss at Colby.
The Beavers competed throughout the first half. The game was tied 14 to 14 after the first quarter and again 29 to 29 at halftime. Colby, however, pulled away in the second half behind a strong performance from Dessirae Ulmer. Kalani Brock led Pratt with 13 points and 10 rebounds. She attacked the glass all night and gave the Beavers a steady presence inside. Polla Balint added 10 points and 6 rebounds while providing consistent effort on both ends of the floor. Emilia Borissova chipped in 6 points and helped anchor the Beaver defense during her 36 minutes on the court.
Pratt finished with 35 total rebounds and battled through four quarters in a game that saw 11 ties and 8 lead changes.
Saturday's loss also marked the final game in a Beaver uniform for six sophomores. The group has played a major role in the program during their time in Pratt. Their leadership and work ethic helped guide a young roster throughout the season. Head Coach Christopher Jefferson also praised the behind the scenes work from team manager Keimarla Thompson, noting her daily effort and support that helped the team stay organized throughout the year.
After the game, Coach CJ reflected on the group. "This has been a really enjoyable group of kids to coach," he said. "They have battled all season long. They show up every day ready to work and compete. This group truly embodies the Team First mentality." He also pointed to the long term impact of the sophomore class. "This group helped lay the foundation for what is coming next for the women's basketball team at Pratt. They set the standard for how we want to work and compete moving forward."
