NORTH NEWTON, Kan.- As the Beavers cross country program continues its march towards championship races, head coach Joel Pearson and his team finished its regular season in stride.
Zach McPhee yet again set the pace for Pratt Community College, finishing sixth overall with a time of 25:53.16 over the course of four miles. In his three appearances this season, McPhee has finished no worse than sixth as an individual. Uwimana Rukundo clocked in at 28:04.82, finishing 37th overall. Daniel Arredondo crossed the finish line with a time of 29:34.51, placing him 61st. Directly behind Arredondo was Diondray Harris, as the sophomore totaled a time of 29:15.82. Also running for the Beavers were Loubsky Francois and and Delmar Campbell, respectively finishing 90th and 92nd.
Shantierra Jackson paced Pratt's female runners with a season-best time of 20:17.13, placing her 12th-overall. Nikera Durr finished 29th, completing her race with a total time of 22:03.31. Jodi Demidio also ran for the Beavers, ending her day with a time of 39:25.23. Maya Miller-Herron did not finish.
Next, the Beavers will travel to the campus of Butler Community College to run at the Region VI KJCCC Cross Country Championships on October 28.
