Beavers Cruise in Battle for Highway 281
Tuesday night Pratt Wrestling hosted the Barton Cougars. Barton battling injuries, only contested 5 of the 10 matches.
 
At 125 lbs., Zane Donley started the dual with a first period Pin over Kike Yanez. 
 
At 133 lbs., Barton was open, giving the Beavers 6 points as Gabe Sherrell got his hand raised. 
 
At 141 lbs., Jameal Agnew survived an early deficit but hung on late to win 12-9.
 
At 149 lbs., Barton was open, giving the Beavers 6 points with Dustin Loughrie taking the Forfeit.
 
At 157 lbs., Jacob Goodwin open the match with 6 straight takedowns before getting the Pin over Gabe Swoyer.
 
At 165 lbs., Barton was open, Zachary Wessley took the Forfeit for another 6 points.
 
At 174 lbs., Trystian Juarez started the match a few takedowns before getting the Pin over Derek Truman.
 
At 184 lbs. and 197 lbs., Barton was open with Drew Withington and Preston Hagel taking the Forfeit wins.
 
At Heavyweight, Marcel Gonzalez survived an early scare and fought off his back for 2 minutes before getting a takedown on Logan Buchanan of Barton in the second period. He was then able to get the turn and find the Pin.
 
The Beavers took the dual 57-0 over the Cougars. Pratt Wrestling improves to 9-3 in the Battle for Highways 281 Rivalry.
 
Pratt Wrestling will be back in action on Wednesday January 21st in Chanute, Kansas to take on Neosho and Colby.
