The Beaver Wrestling Team continued their season at the Jet Open in Wichita, Kansas at Fugate Gymnasium on January 4th.
 
The Beavers had 17 Individuals competing, with 3 Placements. 
  
At 125 lbs., Zane Donley finished 1st Place receiving a Forfeit win over Cowley's Colt Collett. Donley started the day with a 12-8 decision over Cowley's Canaan Brummett and then won by Fall over Northeastern Oklahoma's Mason Gillispie in the following round. With an 8-2 decision over Aden Sanders of Central Oklahoma, Donley moved onto the Semi-Final, where he won by Technical Fall over Newman University's Jaxson Newcomb 21-4.
 
At 165 lbs., Blake Winsor started his day with an 8-6 decision over Jacob Blanchard of Western Colorado. Blake Winsor dropped his next match 2-1 to Friends University's Logan Sell. Winsor bounced back winning his next 3 matches to make it to the 3rd Place Match where he would then face Blanchard again, winning 4-3.
 
At 197 lbs., Preston Hagel finished 1st Place with a 12-8 Decision in the Championship Match over Jackson Blackburn of Central Oklahoma. Hagel started his day with 2 first period Falls over Jackson Hallett of Western Colorado and Hunter McBee of Northeastern Oklahoma. In the Semi Final, Hagel collected a decision win over Emmanuel Skillings of Central Oklahoma 12-8.
 
The Beavers will start their Dual Season where they will be at home competing for the 281 Belt in the Battle of Highway 281 against Barton Community College at home in the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena. The Beavers lead the Rivalry Series 8-3.
