Beavers Finish with Four Top Ten Finishes at the NJCAA Region Six Outdoor Track & Field Championship

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College (PCC) track and field team had four top ten finishes at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region Six Outdoor Track and Field Championships that took place this past weekend May 1-3. The men's team scored 15 points over the weekend.  

Sophomore Dillion Pikes finished eighth in the long jump with a job of 6.67m putting him 77 in the nation. Aidan Ward finished seventh in the javelin throw with a throw of 48.19m moving his ranking up to 27 in the nation. Triple jumper Zechariah Ebron placed third with a jump of 14.01m placing him 31 in the nation.  

The men's 4x400m relay team consisting of Daniel Amparan, Andrea Baker, Jaden Sawyers, and JaMauri Brooks-Davis finished third with a time of 3:15.47. As a relay team, they are ranked 20 in the nation.  

The team will compete at the Shocker Open on Friday, May 9 at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, Kan. before competing at the NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships from May 15-17 in Hutchinson, Kan.
