Beaver League of Legends Team Win Back-to-Back NJCAAE Championships

Pratt, Kan. - On Monday, March 30 the Pratt Community College (PCC) esports League of Legends team defeated Blinn College (BC) 3-0 to win the programs' third National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE) national championship. The team consisting of Gabriel Benito Braz DominguesMurilo Cocco Lopes, Matheus Herdy Bernardino da Silva, Vitor Hugo Garcia MarianoGiuseppe Rodrigues Lopes Filho and Guilherme Veiga finished the 2025-26 academic year with back-to-back NJCAAE national championships.  

"We built this roster with the goal of winning back-to-back national championships in mind and the fact that this team came together and completed the mission shows their dedication to the game and our program," said head esports coach Charles Keefer. "This team deserves all the recognition as their hard work has paid off in a big way and they are a group this program and the school can be proud of."  

While the NJCAAE season may be over for the Beavers, a brand-new season is just getting started. On Tuesday, April 14, the Collegiate League of Legends (CLoL) playoffs get underway in which Pratt, having won the NJCAAE national championship, gets a bid into the tournament. In addition, the team is competing in the Spring 2026 ACL Uncapped League hosted by Aegis Esports. The league is made up of teams with aspiring pro players, and matches take place on Friday nights through the end of May.
