Beaver Esports League of Legends Team Ends Fall Season with NJCAAE National Championship

Pratt, Kan. - On Monday, Dec. 8 the Pratt Community College (PCC) esports League of Legends team defeated Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) 3-0 to win the programs first National Junior College Athletic Association Esports (NJCAAE) national championship. The team finished the fall season with a 34-0 record. The team consists of Gabriel Benito Braz Domingues, Murilo Cocco LopesMatheus Herdy Bernardino da Silva, Vitor Hugo Garcia MarianoGiuseppe Rodrigues Lopes Filho 

"To say I am beyond proud of the team is an understatement," said head esports coach Charles Keefer. "This team showed up day in and day out with this goal in mind and did the work to earn the national championship." 

The Beavers also competed in the Unified Collegiate League- Premier (UCL) and finished runner-up in the league. The team was defeated by the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (UHSP) 3-0. In addition, the team finished in the top four of the 2025 CLOL Fall Warmup having been defeated in the semi-final round by the eventual champion the University of California-Irvine (UCI). 

"I am excited about what the spring season will bring," said coach Keefer. "We are excited to defend our championship, try and win the UCL, and make a tournament run in the 2026 collegiate LOL tournament."
