Josh Campbell enters his second season as the head coach for Pratt's track & field program. He is also the assistant coach for the cross country program.
In his first year at the helm, Campbell was named the Region VI Men's Indoor Coach of the Year. Leading into the Region VI Championships, Coach Campbell had assisted in the development of six of his male athletes and their qualification for the NJCAA Indoor Championships, as well as three female qualifiers.
Campbell, who served as an assistant coach as well as the recruiting coordinator at Kennesaw State University for seven seasons, specializes in sprints, hurdles, and relays. The Chicago State University graduate also has experience instructing horizontal jumps, the high jump, and javelin throw.
A four-time letterwinner at Chicago State, Campbell was named team captain his final two years as a Cougar. After graduation, Campbell was among the foursome that held the school record in the 4x100m relay before the record was broken in 2018. He then joined the Chicago State staff as a volunteer assistant in 2011.
At Kennesaw State, Campbell assisted the development of 23 conference champions, 14 NCAA Preliminary qualifiers, six school record holders, and three Atlantic Sun Conference Championship record holders. He also coached Jocselyn Powell, a two-time USA Championships qualifier and NCAA All-American.
Campbell retains multiple certifications, including a USATF Level 1 certificate, USTFCCCA Sprint/Hurdle/Relay Specialist certificate, and a USTFCCCA Strength & Conditioning certificate.
